11. Meeting Adil
The day after his return to Staoslam City, Tyler goes to the upper town where Adil's family lives. He learned at the port that the Vengeance had recently set out on another journey, and he thinks there is a slight chance that his friend stayed in the city.
His intuition did not deceive him.
As Adil holds him in his arms, Tyler struggles to hold back his tears.
Adil recounts to the young man the events that took place on the island several weeks ago, including the fall into the well and the fact that the entire crew believed he was dead.
On his side, Tyler explains to Adil how he woke up in the cave, his escape through the underground tunnels and then into the jungle, and his arrival at the village. The two stories do not really match, leaving both young men perplexed.
As for Scott, Adil remembers his sudden departure as soon as the Vengeance arrived in Staoslam City, without a word to the other crew members. He has never crossed paths with him in the city since.
